Branding

Admin, Branding (/admin/branding), gated by the branding.manage permission.

Three settings, and they change every surface: the console, the kiosk, the tracking page, the parent portal, the help centre and the status page.

Product name. Shown in the top bar and on every portal. Most schools use something like “ICT Service Desk” rather than the school’s own name, because the portals are already unmistakably theirs from the logo.

Logo. Uploaded and shown beside the name. A square image works best; it renders small. SVG or PNG with a transparent background looks right in both light and dark themes.

Theme colours. The accent used for buttons, links and highlights. Set it to your school’s primary colour and the whole product follows.

Two minutes of work that changes how the rest of the setup feels. More practically, the self-service surfaces are the ones your community meets, and students hesitate over a kiosk badged with a product name they do not know. One that carries the school crest is one they use.

EmailsThe desk name in message wording

The name used in emails comes from the same setting and appears as {{deskName}} in the email templates. Changing it here changes every message that greets somebody, without editing thirteen templates.

The product has both, and each user picks with the sun and moon toggle in the top bar. Their choice is remembered on that device.

Your logo appears in both, so check it in both. A dark logo on a dark background is the most common thing people miss.

Branding is per tenant. A group with several campuses on separate tenants gets separate branding for each, which is usually what they want, because each campus has its own crest and its own service desk name.

The layout, the wording of the interface, and the structure of the portals are fixed. What is configurable is what schools actually differ on:

Between those four, most of what a person actually reads is yours.
